EVITA, West Side Story and Snow White star Rachel Zegler has been named one of Glamour magazine’s 2025 Women of the Year.

Celebrating its 35th year, Glamour’s annual Women of the Year Awards honour trailblazing figures who have shaped culture, inspired change, and uplifted women around the world. This year’s theme, “Sisterhood,” highlights the bonds—familial and found—that unite women through shared experiences and mutual support.

Honouring a rising star

Rachel Zegler, who made her dazzling debut in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story and recently took the West End by storm playing Eva Perón in musical EVITA, is celebrated by Glamour for building a platform rooted in integrity and activism. The magazine’s profile, written by Olivier and BAFTA-winning actress Helen Mirren, spotlights Zegler’s talent, courage, and compassion, positioning her as one of Hollywood’s most promising and outspoken young voices.

Speaking about Evita, Zegler told Helen Mirren in the interview that, “The beautiful thing about Evita for me – beyond all of the wonderful people I met and all of the wonderful work we’re doing – is that I never thought I would be a part of something so celebrated, because of the way that I’ve been conditioned to believe that I wouldn’t be.”
