The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester has announced full casting for its forthcoming revival of Raz Shaw’s new production of Singin’ in the Rain.
Singin’ in the Rain is playing in the round at the Royal Exchange from 29 November 2025 to 18 January 2026.
Next year marks 50 years of the Royal Exchange, which is now led by new Artistic Director Selina Cartmell.
Singin’ in the Rain will star Louis Gaunt (Brigadoon, Mary Poppins) as Don Lockwood, with Laura Baldwin (101 Dalmatians The Musical) as Lina Lamont, Danny Collins (Cats) as Cosmo Brown, and Carly Mercedes Dyer (Anything Goes) as Kathy Selden.
The cast also includes Carl Sanderson (Sweet Charity) as Roscoe Dexter, Clancy Ryan (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as Dora Bailey, and Julius D’Silva (& Juliet) as RF Simpson.
The ensemble cast features Tanisha-Mae Brown (Brigadoon), Adam Davidson (Grease), Frances Dee (The Great Gatsby), Zac Frieze (A Knight’s Tale), Jessica Keable (Chicago), Gregor McCann, Benjamin Mundy (The Producers), Ria Tanaka (Your Lie in April) and Thomas Walton (Mamma Mia!).
Directed by Raz Shaw (The Producers), Singin’ in the Rain is the much-loved story of the highs and lows of Hollywood from silent movies to the ‘talkies’.
The wider creative team includes casting by Will Burton, Choreography by Alistair David, Music Supervisor, Orchestrations & Additional Arrangements by Matthew Malone, Set & Costume Design by Richard Kent, Lighting Design by Jack Knowles and Sound Design by Yvonne Gilbert.
The show features all the iconic songs audiences know and love, such as Make ‘Em laugh, Good Mornin’, Moses Supposes and of course the iconic title song, Singin’ in the Rain.
Louis Gaunt is currently starring in Brigadoon at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, until 20 September; and Laura Baldwin is currently starring in 101 Dalmatians The Musical at the Eventim Apollo in London until 30 August.
Singin’ in the Rain is running at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester from 29 November 2025 to 18 January 2026.
