This Sunday, 8 September 2024, sees the West End Charity Football Club’s annual The Big West End Walk.
The sponsored walk is a 15 mile trip around London’s 58 West End theatres, raising money for the Acting for Others charity.
This year’s event is led by West End Charity Football Club Captain Jon-Scott Clark (Hamilton, Miss Saigon) and Jonny Phillips (Les Misérables), who launched the sponsored walk in 2023.
Other West End stars walking for charity this year include Caroline Sheen (9 to 5 The Musical, Les Miserables), Christina Bianco (The Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma in Concert), Gary Wilmot (Wicked, Something Rotten!, The Wizard of Oz), Ben Stock (Grease, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Doña Croll (Family Affairs, EastEnders, Casualty), Harriet Thorpe (EastEnders, The Brittas Empire, Wicked, The Dresser, The Girls), John Partridge (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Cats, Starlight Express, Chicago, EastEnders), Michael Jibson (Hamilton, Les Miserables) and Tom Read Wilson (Celebs Go Dating, The SpongeBob Musical).
The West End Charity Football Club team also includes John Addison (School of Rock), Matt Blaker (Jesus Christ Superstar), Danny Colligan (Les Misérables), Vinny Coyle (The Phantom of The Opera), Ellis Kirk (Dear Evan Hansen), Jo Parsons (Les Misérables), and Captain of the Women’s team, Courtney Stapleton (SIX).

West End Charity Football Club started in 2019 comprising of players who work in London’s theatre industry, celebrities, and some ex-professional footballers, raising money for Acting for Others.
Last year’s walk raised over £3,500 for the charity.
The route will be shared publicly after the event so supporters can also take on the challenge in aid of Acting for Others.
Acting for Others provides financial and emotional support to those in theatrical professions during times of need through its 14 member charities. This May saw Acting for Others host their successful annual West End Flea Market, this year raising over £74,000 for charity.
