Six The Musical writers Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss are working on new animated movie musical Bad Fairies.
Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation, Moss and Marlow are writing the songs for the movie, with Grammy nominated composer Isabella Summers from Florence & The Machine writing the score and producing the songs.
Deborah Frances-White (The Guilty Feminist) is writing the screenplay.
Bad Fairies has a released date of 23 July 2027 for the US, and is now in production in London.
The movie follows a badass group of rule-breaking fairies in contemporary London, and is directed by Megan Nicole Dong (Centaurworld).
Bill Damaschke, President of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Mary Coleman, Chief Creative Officer of Locksmith Animation, issued a joint statement saying: “Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation are excited to welcome this extraordinary dream team of musical talents, Toby Marlow, Lucy Moss and Isabella Summers into our Bad Fairies family. Together they will bring vibrant and unforgettable dimension to the story, and we cannot wait to share it with audiences around the world in 2027.”
Six The Musical is the multi Tony and Olivier Award winning show about the six wives of Henry VIII that has been produced around the world, and continues to pack in audiences at the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre in London. The show is also touring the UK.
Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’s next project is much-anticipated musical Why Am I So Single?, which opens this autumn at the Garrick Theatre in London.
