Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has released production photos of its brand new production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

Shakespeare’s comedy of mistaken identities is now playing at the Open Air, running to 8 June 2024.

Twelfth Night stars Evelyn Miller (Patriots) as Viola, Andro Cowperthwaite (Dead Hot) as Sebastian, Raphael Bushay (Oklahoma!) as Orsino, Richard Cant (It’s A Sin) as Malvolio and Anna Francolini (Strictly Ballroom) as Olivia.

Other cast include Sally Cheng (The Wizard of Oz) as Querelle, Nicholas Karami (Arabian Nights) as Antonio/Captain, Julie Legrand (An American in Paris) as Feste, Michael Matus (42nd Street) as Toby Belch, Evelyn Miller (Patriots) as Viola, Anita Reynolds (Romeo & Julie) as Maria, Matthew Spencer (The White Factory) as Andrew Aguecheek, Katherine Toy (The Man in the White Suit) as Valentine/Priest, Jon Trenchard (The Comedy About A Bank Robbery) as Fabian/Musical Director, and Harry Waller (Oliver!) as Curio/Officer.

Directed by Owen Horsley (Henry VI: Rebellion, Wars of the Roses, RSC), the production marks the first production of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s summer season, and features new original songs in addition to the numerous songs in the text of Twelfth Night or What You Will.

What else is playing at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre this Summer?

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s 2024 Summer season also includes: The new musical version of Roald Dahl’s picture book, The Enormous Crocodile in the daytime for those aged 4+ and their families (17 May – 8 June). This is followed by the stage adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic story, The Secret Garden (15 June – 20 July) in a new version by Holly Robinson and Anna Himali Howard, and directed by Howard. The season concludes with Fiddler on the Roof (27 July – 21 September) in a new production directed by Jordan Fein with book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick.
