NOW That’s What I Call A Musical - Tour Dates

Performance information is for guidance only. Check booking calendar for details.

Hilarious new musical comedy NOW That’s What I Call A Musical is now touring to theatres across the UK & Ireland in 2025.

Directed and choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood, NOW That’s What I Call A Musical stars Nina Wadia (Goodness Gracious Me, Eastenders) in the lead role of Gemma, with Sam Bailey (The X Factor, Chicago), sharing the role of April.

They are joined by special guest pop stars playing themselves at selected dates, and singing the songs that made them NOW icons, including Sinitta, Sonia, Carol Decker and Jay Osmond.

NOW That’s What I Call A Musical is about two old school friends and is set in 1989, and then 20 years later at a school reunion.

Written by award-winning comedian Pippa Evans (Showstoppers), the show is filled with fabulous musical numbers based on the iconic NOW That’s What I Call Music albums – including songs from Whitney Houston, Wham!, Blondie, Tears For Fears, Spandau Ballet and more.

The show is touring from September 2024, including dates in Aylesbury, Sheffield, Canterbury, Nottingham, Norwich, Newcastle, Bradford, Dartford, Cardiff, Truro, Milton Keynes, Belfast, Southampton, Dublin, Manchester, Hull, Southend, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Birmingham, York, Oxford, Bristol and Wimbledon – see all tour dates, below.

NOW That’s What I Call A Musical is playing at London’s New Wimbledon Theatre from 8 to 11 April 2025 starring SONIA, and also touring the UK.

It’s Birmingham, 1989. Two school friends, Gemma and April, are busy with very important business – planning their lives based on Number One Magazine quizzes and dreaming of snogging Rick Astley. Cut to Birmingham 2009 and it’s the most dreaded event of their lives– the school reunion. Drama, old flames and receding hairlines come together as friends reunite and everything from the past starts to slot into place. The biggest question is: what was with all that hairspray?
