Following 2021’s five-star production of Romeo & Juliet, acclaimed director Ola Ince debuts in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse with Shakespeare’s confronting look at the destructive impact of racism.

Asking challenging questions – How do we respond to Black success? What does it mean for accomplished Black men to be torn down by the society that initially lauded them? – Othello promises to provoke and shed new light on this classic Shakespeare.

Othello is part of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse 10th anniversary season, and is playing at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 16 January to 13 April 2024.
