West End musical theatre actor Rob Houchen will perform his first solo concerts at Cadogan Hall in early May.
Over the last decade Houchen has built up an impressive list of West End credits including the role of Marius in both the full production and concert version of Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed Les Miserables; Jimmy Powers in Josie Rourke’s 2020 West End revival of City of Angels (Garrick Theatre), which was sadly cut short by the onset of covid-19;Fabrizio in the 2019 production of The Light in Piazza (Royal Festival Hall) with Renee Fleming, Dove Cameron and Alex Jennings; the 2018 world premiere production of Broken Wing’s (Theatre Royal Haymarket); and, Titanic The Musical (Charing Cross Theatre).
Houchen gave an acclaimed performance the title role of Eugene in Eugenius! The Musical at The Other Palace Theatre in 2018, which won him the Offie for best male performer.

Whilst the pandemic has been ongoing Houchen starred with Celinde Schoenmaker in a socially distanced production of Marry Me a Little musical at the Barn Theatre in Cirencester. He also appeared in the Theatre Channel’s Rock Episode singing Gethsemene from Jesus Christ Superstar. And for the super-fans he can also be found on the cameo here – where for a small fee you can get a personalised message or song.

As well as celebrating his musical career, Houchen will also sing his own original material, which is to be recorded and released as a live album in 2021.
Guests joining Rob Houchen for the two Cadogan Hall concerts are to be announced.
