Get ready for the musical stage adaptation of hit TV series SMASH.
Smash is brought to life on stage by world class creative teams including music and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, a book by Bob Martin (The Prom, The Drowsy Chaperone) and Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, The Addams Family, The Cher Show) and produced by Hollywood director Steven Spielberg, and Robert Greenblatt and Neil Meron.
A musical about the making of a Broadway show, Smash celebrates the beauty and heartbreak of Broadway as it follows the dreamers and schemers who all have one common desire – to be a “Smash.”
The show features songs from the TV show – including “Let Me Be Your Star”, written by Tony and Grammy Award-winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Some Like It Hot, Hairspray, Mary Poppins Returns).
Smash is directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman, and choreographed by the TV show’s Emmy Award-winning choreographer Joshua Bergasse.
Smash is heading to Broadway for the 2024/2025 season, and is rumoured to be coming to London’s West End in 2026.

What's the story of Smash?
Based on the hit TV series, Smash follows the lives of writers Julia and Tom, as they attempt to mount a new musical about the life of Marilyn Monroe, Bombshell; and actors Ivy and Karen who battle it out for the starring role. Whether it’s the dreamers or schemers they all just want to be a smash-hit.
