‘Sister Act adds extra performance dates in London

Whoopi Goldberg and Jennifer Saunders led musical Sister Act has added six extra performances to the limited run at the Eventim Apollo in London.

The six extra performances will run from Tuesday 21 July 2020 through to Sunday 26 July 2020.

The highly anticipated new staging of Sister Act The Musical will see Whoopi Goldberg reprise the role of ‘Deloris Van Cartier’ for the first time since starring in the international hit films in the early 90s.

Jennifer Saunders will play the role of ‘Mother Superior’, played by Maggie Smith in the films, with Clive Rowe cast in the role of  police detective ‘Eddie Souther’.

Sister Act will be directed by Bill Buckhurst, with choreography by Alistair David, set design by Morgan Large,  lighting design by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Tom Marshall, musical supervision by Stephen Brooker and casting is by Stuart Burt. 

The show features original music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken(Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted), lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane.

Sister Act The Musical will run from 21 July 2020 until 30 August 2020 at the Eventim Apollo, London.
