Actor and comedian Jason Manford will host the 2020 Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Manford returns to hosting duties for London theatre’s most prestigious awards ceremony having previously hosted the 2019 and 2017 ceremony.
Jason Manford said: ‘It’s great to be back hosting the Olivier Awards. Having trod the boards myself many times, I’ve experienced first-hand the huge wealth of creativity and talent across the UK theatre industry. I look forward to celebrating all the incredible work produced over the last year. It will definitely be a night to remember – see you at the Royal Albert Hall!’
Manford was recently on stage at the Wyndham’s Theatre, one of London’s premier theatres, in the last-minute West End transfer of Kander & Ebb’s Curtains. The murder mystery musical comedy was brought in to replace the Stephen Mangan led stinker The Man In The White Suit, which closed due to dire ticket sales. Jason’s segue from comedian to musical theatre performer continues with credits including The Producers, Sweeney Todd and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
The nominations for the 2020 Olivier Awards will take place on 3 March 2020 via a live broadcast.
Winners will be announced at the star-studded awards ceremony on Sunday 5 April 2020 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
