Paterson Joseph (Peep Show, Green Wing) will star as Ebenezer Scrooge in Matthew Warchus’ production of Charles Dickens’ immortal classic A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic.
Joseph’s extensive career in theatre, television and film includes King Lear, Loves Labours Lost and The Last Days of Don Juan at the Royal Shakespeare Company; NBC series Timeless, BBC One crime series Rellik, comedy series Peep Show, Green Wing and the upcoming show Noughts and Crosses; his film credits include The Beach, In the Name of the Father and The Other Man.
Jack Thorne’s (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) adaptation of Dickens much loved tale returns to the Old Vic on 23 November 2019 following a critically acclaimed run last year with Rhys Ifans as Ebenezer Scrooge.
The creative team includes set Rob Howell (set & costume), Christopher Nightingale (composer & musical arrangements), Hugh Vanstone (lighting), Simon Baker (sound) and Lizzi Gee (movement).
