Casting has been announced for Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical, which makes its UK premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.
Rebecca Gilhooley (The Last Ship) and Dominic Andersen (Heathers, The Rocky Horror Show) will play the devious duo Kathryn Merteuil and Sebastian Valmont alongside Evelyn Hoskins (Carrie) as Cecile Caldwell and Sophie Isaacs (Heathers) as Annette Hargrove.
The cast also features Scott Hunter (Yank!) as Blaine Tuttle, Dean John-Wilson (Aladdin, The King and I) as Greg McConnell, Ashley Samuels (Motown the Musical) as Ronald Clifford and Gemma Salter (Made in Dagenham) as Bunny Caldwell.
Based on the 90s teen film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair and the French novel, Les Liasions Dangereuses, the musical follows two step-siblings fuelled by passion and revenge intent on destroying the reputation of an innocent girl.
Cruel Intentions will be directed by Jonathan O’Boyle (Aspects of Love) with choreography by Gary Lloyd, design by Lee Newbury, musical direction by Sarah Morrison, sound design by Dan Samson and casting by Debbie O’Brien.
Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical will run from 1 – 25 August 2019 at Assembly George Square during the Edinburgh Fringe.
