Kara Tointon

Kara Tointon recently starred as Constance Middleton in The Constant Wife UK tour, prior to the West End.

Kara Tointon is an English actress best known for her role as Dawn Swann in BBC’s EastEnders and as Rosalie in ITV’s Mr Selfridge. She has recently taken on leading roles in the TV mini-series Too Good to Be True and The Teacher. Upcoming film projects include The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (as Willamae Abernathy), Killing Roo and Spike.

On stage, Tointon’s notable theatre credits include the West End premiere of The Man In The White Suit at Wyndham’s Theatre, her acclaimed portrayal of Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion at the Garrick Theatre, and Evelyn in Alan Ayckbourn’s revival of Absent Friends at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

She was also the winner of the 2010 series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
