Producers of Riverdance are to stage a new dance and music show called Heartbeat of Home at London’s Piccadilly Theatre from 4 September 2019.
The high-octane show mixes Irish, Latin, Hip-Hop, Afro-Cuban and Contemporary music and dance, and is described as an ‘exilerating, sexy, dance and music extravaganza’.
Heartbeat of Home will have thirty three world-class dancers and live musicians, heralding from Ireland, USA, Australia, Britain, Canada, Italy, Argentina and Spain.
The production previously ran at the London Palladium for two performances earlier this year.
The show is conceived and directed by John McColgan with choreography by David Bolger, set design by Alan Farquharson, set projection design by David Torpey/Image Now and David Mattias/COSMO, lighting design by Peter Canning, sound design by Ciarán Byrne and costume design by Monica Ennis and Niamh O’Connor. Irish dance choreography is by John Carey, music by Brian Byrne and lyrics by Joseph O’Conner.
Heartbeat of Home is booking from 4 September 2019 until 13 October 2019 at the Piccadilly Theatre, London.
