Moulin Rouge! The Musical has announced a wave of new casting as the production gears up to celebrate five years in the West End. The award-winning musical has been running at the Piccadilly Theatre since 12 November 2021.
The producers of Moulin Rouge! The Musical have unveiled a new cast set to take over in the West End as the hit show celebrates five years at the Piccadilly Theatre this autumn. From Monday 12 October 2026, James Doherty (Come From Away) and Daniel Fraser (Christmas Carol Goes Wrong) will join the cast as Harold Zidler and The Duke respectively. Current cast members Karis Anderson and Alistair Brammer will continue as Satine and Christian.
New cast members also include Nick Len (Matilda the Musical), Billie-Kay (Kinky Boots), Athena Collins and Angela Marie Hurst.

The 5th Anniversary cast
The musical, directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, follows Christian, a poor writer, and Satine, the diamond of the Moulin Rouge nightclub, whose lives collide and fall hopelessly in love, only to be thwarted by nightclub impresario Harold Zidler and the wealthy, entitled Duke of Monroth.
Baz Luhrmann’s iconic film is supersized in this delightful adaptation, with even more spectacle and hit songs mashed up into a musical extravaganza.
The cast set for the 5th anniversary is as follows:

- Nick Len as Baby Doll,
- Billie-Kay as Arabia
- Athena Collins as La Chocolat
- Angela Marie Hurst as Alternate Satine.
