The West End production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical will see two of its long-standing stars, Ben Richards and Craig Ryder, play their final performances this autumn.
Both actors are scheduled to depart the production at the Piccadilly Theatre on 10 October 2026.

End of an era for “The Duke”
Stage and screen star Ben Richards (Emmerdale, The Bill) will have played the role of The Duke of Monroth for an impressive four years by the time he takes his final bow.
Reflecting on his run in the show on social media, Ben described the show as “awesome,” adding: “This show will always hold a special place in my heart. I have six months left to continue to build great memories and create great moments on this stage.”
Farewell to Harold Zidler
Craig Ryder (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), who joined the company in the original London cast, and started playing the iconic showman Harold Zidler in October 2024, will also be departing alongside Ben Richards.
Ryder admitted to fans on social media that his leaving announcement was “not a post I thought I’d be writing,” marking a two-year stint at the heart of the bohemian revolution.
The current company
The production continues to star Karis Anderson (TINA – The Tina Turner Musical) as Satine and Alistair Brammer (Miss Saigon) as Christian. The principal cast is completed by Richard Lloyd King as Toulouse-Lautrec, Ivan De Freitas as Santiago, and Lindsey Tierney as Nini, with Angela Marie Hurst (Motown: The Musical) as Alternate Satine.

Celebrating 5 years in London

Directed by Alex Timbers, the show features a book by John Logan and a score of over 70 pop hits, ranging from classic movie numbers like “Come What May” to modern mash-ups of Adele, Beyoncé, and Sia.
