Casting has been announced for the world premiere of The Trick at the Bush Theatre in London.

Eve Leigh’s new play will star Lachele Carl (Into The Badlands, Deep State), David Verrey (One Man Two Guvnors, England People Very Nice National Theatre), Ani Nelson (A Cratchit Christmas Theatre 503) and Sharlene Whyte (Matilda the Musical Cambridge Theatre).

The Trick is an unpredictable exploration of ageing and grief by Eve Leigh, told through Mira, a woman learning to live without her husband who died seven months prior. It is described as a magic show about the parts of life we don’t talk about – the realities of getting older and coming to terms with loss.

The production is directed by Roy Alexander Weise with design by Jemima Robinson, lighting by Amy Mae and sound by Odinn Orn Hilmarsson.

The Trick will run from 19 February 2019 until 23 March 2019 at the Bush Theatre and will be followed by a national tour with dates in Oxford, Salisbury, Lowestoft, Aldeburgh, Watford, Birmingham, Halifax and York.
