A brand new tour of the spectacular re-imagined production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Following a hugely successful run at the London Palladium and on tour, Joseph is back! – coming to the Edinburgh Playhouse and theatres around the UK.
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s colourful retelling of the famous biblical story about Joseph, his uncanny dream-deciphering abilities and his flashy jacket, is filled with popular songs, including Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do.
A fabulous cast includes Joseph McElderry as Pharaoh at selected dates – see Cast section, plus West End stars Christina Bianco (The Wizard of Oz) as the Narrator, and Adam Filipe (Titanic The Musical, Les Misérables) as Joseph.
Book tickets to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat now touring the UK.
Told entirely through song with the help of the Narrator, the show follows the story of Jacob’s favourite son Joseph and his eleven brothers. After being sold into slavery by the brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar but ends up in jail after refusing the advances of Potiphar’s wife.
While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled showman, the Pharaoh. As Joseph strives to resolve Egypt’s famine, he becomes Pharaoh’s right-hand man and eventually reunites with his family.
