The Pinter at The Pinter season culminates with two unmissable comedies that explore the political machinations of the powerful and the powerless.

Martin Freeman and Danny Dyer will star in The Dumb Waiter – considered by many to be the best of Harold Pinter’s early plays with casting for A Slight Ache to be announced.

Pinter at the Pinter is an unparalleled event featuring the short plays written by the greatest British playwright of the 20th Century, in the theatre that bears his name. They have never been performed together in a season of this kind.

WHAT’S THE STORY?

A Slight Ache
When a mysterious figure enters their elegant country home, the lives of Flora and Edward are changed forever.

The Dumb Waiter
Gus and Ben, two hit-men, await their next job in a derelict building. Into the waiting silence rattles the dumb waiter with extraordinary demands for dishes they cannot supply – and who is operating the dumb waiter in an empty house? And what is the cost of their quest for meaning?

The case features Danny Dyer (Human Traffic, Doghouse, Eastenders), Martin Freeman (Sherlock,The Hobbit film trilogy, Fargo, Black Panther), Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy in  Game of Thrones) and John Heffernan (Brexit: The Uncivil War).
