A Slight Ache / The Dumb Waiter tickets at the Harold Pinter Theatre, London

The Pinter at The Pinter season culminates with two unmissable comedies that explore the political machinations of the powerful and the powerless.

Martin Freeman and Danny Dyer will star in The Dumb Waiter – considered by many to be the best of Harold Pinter’s early plays with casting for A Slight Ache to be announced.

Pinter at the Pinter is an unparalleled event featuring the short plays written by the greatest British playwright of the 20th Century, in the theatre that bears his name. They have never been performed together in a season of this kind.

A Slight Ache
When a mysterious figure enters their elegant country home, the lives of Flora and Edward are changed forever.

The Dumb Waiter
Gus and Ben, two hit-men, await their next job in a derelict building. Into the waiting silence rattles the dumb waiter with extraordinary demands for dishes they cannot supply – and who is operating the dumb waiter in an empty house? And what is the cost of their quest for meaning?

Production images have been released offering a glimpse of Danny Dyer and Martin Freeman in Harold Pinter's The Dumb Waiter. The comic two-hander runs in tandem with Pinter's A Slight Ache, starring John Heffernan and Gemma Whelan, under the title Pinter Seven. Pinter Seven is the penultimate production of Jamie Lloyd's Pinter at the Pinter season which has featured an unparalleled staging of Pinter's one-act plays which have never been performed together. The season has included performances from actors including Tamsin Greig, David Suchet, Lee Evans, Penelope Wilton, Anthony Sher, Jane Horrocks, Rupert Graves and Celia Imrie. The final production will star Golden Globe and Olivier Award winner Tom Hiddleston, Zawe Ashton and Charlie Cox, Betrayal will run from 5 March 2019. Written by Harold Pinter in the late 1950s these two comedies explore the political machinations of the powerful and the powerless.
