Creating the hit TV programme Who Do You Think You Are? at Hampstead Theatre

In this panel, the producer and the director of the show plus a mystery celebrity (to be announced) will discuss the series and what it’s like to uncover your family history.

Leo Burley is a television director who has directed several episodes of Who Do You Think You Are? including JK Rowling, Emilia Fox, Minnie Driver and Bruce Forsyth.

Alex Graham co-founded Wall to Wall Television which produces many critically acclaimed and popular programmes including Who Do You Think You Are?, New Tricks, The Voice and Oscar-winning film Man on Wire.

Celia Imrie is our mystery celebrity!
Celia Imrie’s career began in the early 1970s, and since has been described as “one of the greatest British actresses of recent decades”, appearing in many well-known productions such as Bergerac, Dinnerladies, Acorn Antiques, After You’ve Gone and In Kingdom as well as Sparkhouse, Bridget Jones’ Diary and the 2005 drama Mr Harvey Lights a Candle.

Celia was featured in Who Do You Think You Are? in October 2012.

The hugely successful TV programme, Who Do You Think You Are? traces celebrities’ ancestry, discovering surprises from their families’ past along the way.

First aired in 2004, the show regularly attracts over 6 million viewers and has investigated the family histories of over 100 celebrities including Stephen Fry, Jeremy Irons, Boris Johnson and Zoe Wanamaker.

Creating Who Do You Think You Are? will run on 12 February 2017 at Hampstead Theatre.
