Dirty Great Love Story receives its West End premiere at London’s Arts Theatre.

The Edinburgh Fringe First Award-winning play is an achingly funny romantic catastrophe of good intentions and bad timing that asks, can a one-night stand last a lifetime?

Following a UK tour and off-Broadway run, Dirty Great Love Story comes to the West End for a limited 9 week season.

Dirty Great Love Story runs from 18 January 2017 until 18 March 2017 at the Arts Theatre.

STORY

Two hopeful hapless romantics get drunk, get it on and then get the hell away from each other.

In her eyes he’s a mistake. A mistake who keeps turning up at parties.

In his eyes, she’s perfect. He’s short-sighted.

Casting has been announced for the West End premiere of Dirty Great Love Story Felix Scott and Ayesha Antoine will star in the highly acclaimed, Fringe First Award winning Dirty Great Love Story which wmakes its anticipated West End debut at the Arts Theatre in 2017. Felix Scott is best known for playing Charlie Thomas in the BBC Radio 4 soap The Archers. His other credits include The Angry Brigade (Paines Plough) and the film Inception. Ayesha Antoine was most recently in the West End in Red Velvet (Garrick Theatre). She is best known for portraying Rachel Baptiste in Holby City, and Poppy Silver in Grange Hill. Dirty Great Love Story is an achingly funny romantic catastrophe of good intentions and bad timing that asks, can a one night stand last a lifetime? He’s short-sighted. Director Pia Furtado said, "It’s a particular privilege as a director to revisit a great script. This new production of Dirty Great Love Story is one of those moments for me. I can’t wait to get stuck into this total treat of a play with actors as loveable, skilled and funny as Felix and Ayesha! I’m thrilled that we will be bringing this heart-warming, hilarious, emotionally-messy celebration of modern romance to the West End, and in particular the intimate gem that is The Arts. Co-written by Katie Bonna and Richard Marsh, the production was awarded a Scotsman Fringe First Award for outstanding new writing in 2012 and was shortlisted for both the Holden Street Theatre Award and the Brighton Fringe Award. Bonna also received a nomination for the prestigious Stage Award for Best Actress at the Edinburgh Fringe 2012 and Marsh has since been selected as one of Time Out’s most influential people in the arts and was crowned London’s Poetry Slam Champion in 2012.
