West End transfer for The Boys in the Band

Mark Gatiss confirms West End transfer for The Boys in the Band

The sell-out Park Theatre production of The Boys In Band will transfer to the West End for a limited 2 week run at the Vaudeville Theatre in February 2017.

Mark Gatiss and the cast will reprise their roles in the critically acclaimed production which stars his husband Ian Hallard, West End musical theatre star Daniel Boys, EastEnders Jack Derges, Miranda star James Holmes, Primeval’s Ben Mansfield, Undercover’s Nathan Nolan, John Hopkins and Greg Lockett.

The Boys in the Band is produced in the West End by Tom O’Connell and James Seabright, producers of the critically acclaimed revivals of Beautiful Thing, Our Boys, Another Country, and the forthcoming stage adaptation of Brokeback Mountain.

Tom O’Connell said, “James and I are thrilled that audiences have taken this show to their hearts in such a big way; with limited availability from our stellar cast I am pleased that we have found a suitable West End home for this fantastic production.”

Razor sharp and packed with wit, The Boys in the Band is fresh, startling and brilliantly entertaining.  It’s 1968 and there’s a party tonight.  Nine men gather in a New York apartment for a birthday celebration. As the booze is drunk and the dope smoked, the mood swings from hilarity to heartbreak.

The Boys In The Band will play a limited run from 7 February 2017 until 18 February 2017 at the Vaudeville Theatre.
