West End transfer for The Boys in the Band
Mark Gatiss confirms West End transfer for The Boys in the Band
The sell-out Park Theatre production of The Boys In Band will transfer to the West End for a limited 2 week run at the Vaudeville Theatre in February 2017.
Mark Gatiss and the cast will reprise their roles in the critically acclaimed production which stars his husband Ian Hallard, West End musical theatre star Daniel Boys, EastEnders Jack Derges, Miranda star James Holmes, Primeval’s Ben Mansfield, Undercover’s Nathan Nolan, John Hopkins and Greg Lockett.
The Boys in the Band is produced in the West End by Tom O’Connell and James Seabright, producers of the critically acclaimed revivals of Beautiful Thing, Our Boys, Another Country, and the forthcoming stage adaptation of Brokeback Mountain.
Tom O’Connell said, “James and I are thrilled that audiences have taken this show to their hearts in such a big way; with limited availability from our stellar cast I am pleased that we have found a suitable West End home for this fantastic production."

The Park Theatre's sell-out production of The Boys In The Band starring Mark Gatiss
Olivier Award winner Mark Gatiss leads the cast of The Boys In The Band alongside his husband Ian Hallard.
Also featuring is West End musical theatre star Daniel Boys, Jack Derges, recently seen as the mysterious ‘Andy Flynn’ in EastEnders, Miranda star James Holmes, Midsomer Murders’ John Hopkins, Greg Lockett, Primeval’s Ben Mansfield, and Undercover’s Nathan Nolan.
Directed by Adam Penford (One Man Two Guvnors’), Mart Crowley’s ground-breaking play premiered just before the Stonewall riots in 1968 and changed the landscape of gay theatre. This witty, dark American play was last revived in New York in 2010, and this UK revival marks almost 20 years since the last major London production.
The Boys In The Band previously ran at the Park Theatre, London and will now play a limited West End run at the Vaudeville Theatre from 7 February 2017 until 18 February 2017.
