In The Heights to close in January 2017

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s award winning In the Heights has announced final dates at the King’s Cross Theatre.

The final performance of the Hamilton creators musical will be 8 January 2017.

Casting changes have also been announced effective from 16 September 2016. Joining the cast are Arun Blair-Mangat (Kinky Boots) as Benny, Juliet Gough (Matilda) as Camilla and Stephanie Rojas (Wonder.land) as Carla.

Sarah Naudi, who has been with the show since it opened at the Southwark Playhouse in 2014, will play the role of Vanessa and Damian Buhagiar returns to the production as Sonny, having originated the role in 2014.

Continuing in the cast are Sam Mackay, Gabriela Garcia, David Bedella, Norma Attallah, Jonathan Bishop, Vas Constanti, Reiss Hinds, Chritopher Tendai, Michael Cortez, Shanice Burton, Raffaella Covino, Genesis Lynea, Alex Thomas and Tara Young.

The hit musical won three Olivier Awards at the 2016 ceremony in April – Outstanding Achievement in Music, Best Choreographer and Best Supporting Actor for David Bedella.

In the Heights runs until 8 January 2017 at the King’s Cross Theatre.
