1984 extends West End run

Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan’s internationally acclaimed production of 1984 has extended its West End run to October 2016.

Initially booking to 3 September 2016, the show’s run has been extended by eight weeks and will now play until 29 October 2016 at the Playhouse Theatre.

George Orwell’s dystopian masterpiece ‘1984’, published in 1949, is one of the most influential novels in recent history, with its chilling depiction of perpetual war, pervasive government surveillance and incessant public mind-control.

Directed by Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan with Daniel Raggett, this sensational adaptation marks the third time it has played in the West End.
