Friends star Matthew Perry returns to the West End

International, multi award-winning star of TV and Film Matthew Perry returns to the West End in The End of Longing.

Matthew Perry leads the cast in the World Premiere of his playwriting debut, The End of Longing, a sharply written and hilarious dark comedy. This fast paced, and bittersweet comic new play, will be directed by the critically acclaimed and award-winning director, Lindsay Posner (Speed-the-Plow, Other Desert Cities) reuniting the pair, following their first West End collaboration on Sexual Perversity in Chicago at the Comedy Theatre in 2003.

Matthew Perry said “Being on stage makes you feel naked. Being on stage in a play that I have written will make me feel doubly naked. So if you’d like to see me doubly naked, tickets go on sale today.”

Perry who is currently starring in CBS’s ratings winner The Odd Couple, is best known for playing Chandler Bing in the long running television series Friends. Other projects include NBC’s Go On, the ABC show Mr Sunshine, Aaron Sorkin’s NBC drama Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and The West Wing.

The End of Longing plays a limited season from 2 February 2016 until 14 May 2016 at the Playhouse Theatre. Full casting to be announced.
