Award-winning West End musical Operation Mincemeat has extended for a 19th time in London until 29 May 2027.

Operation Mincemeat is now playing at the Fortune Theatre in London until 29 May 2026, with tickets on sale from 24 September via a ballot.

The extension, announced today (7 September), means Operation Mincemeat will enter its fifth year in the West End. Tickets for the extension will be available via a ballot on 24 September and on general sale on 25 September at 10am.

About Operation Mincemeat

The show is set in 1943, and while Allied Forces are on the ropes, they’ve got a trick up their sleeve, or in inside the pocket of a stolen corpse. Equal parts farce, thriller, and Ian Fleming-style spy caper (with an assist from Mr. Fleming himself), Operation Mincemeat tells the wildly improbable and hilarious true story of the covert operation that turned the tide of WWII.

The musical started its life at the Off-West End New Diorama Theatre in 2019, before playing the Southwark Playhouse and Riverside Studios, followed by opening at the West End’s Fortune Theatre on 9 May 2023.

It is running simultaneously in London and New York. This comes alongside a World Tour for the hit show, including a 40-week UK tour between 16 February 2026 and 28 November 2026, and spanning four continents, including the US, Australia, Canada, China, Mexico and New Zealand.

The show has two Olivier awards, a Tony for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for Jak Malone, who originated the role of Hester Leggatt on Broadway and in the West End, plus a WhatsOnstage Awards for Best New Musical. It also celebrated 1,000 performances in the West End in August last year.
