Francesca Moody Productions, the company behind Fleabag and Baby Reindeer, takes over The Other Palace this autumn with three acclaimed Fringe hits.
Francesca Moody Productions, the Olivier Award-winning, Tony-nominated company behind Fleabag and Baby Reindeer, has announced its first full season, taking over The Other Palace this autumn and winter.
Running from 5 October 2026 to 10 January 2027, the season brings together three acclaimed shows that all began life at the Edinburgh Fringe, with over 4,000 tickets available at £20.
It’s an exciting new chapter for one of the industry’s most influential producers, renowned for championing bold new voices and developing work that goes on to achieve international acclaim.
An Oak Tree (7 October – 15 November)

The season opens with Tim Crouch’s An Oak Tree, one of the most influential plays of the 21st century since its 2005 premiere.
Its groundbreaking premise sees a different guest artist join Crouch on stage for every single performance, stepping on without ever having read or rehearsed the play.
Over 350 performers have taken on the challenge across two decades, among them Frances McDormand, David Tennant, Jessie Buckley, Sophie Okonedo, Indira Varma and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The result is a unique event every night, and a moving exploration of grief, suggestion and the live experience of performance.
The guest casting for this run is still to be announced.
Garry Starr: Classic Penguins (22 October – 3 January)
Next comes gloriously unhinged chaos from internationally acclaimed comic performer Garry Starr, created by Damien Warren-Smith.
In Classic Penguins, Starr is hell-bent on saving books from extinction by performing every Penguin Classic novel ever written: mostly naked, but with flippers.
From The Little Prince to Moby Dick, nothing is safe from being lampooned with the utmost nincompoopery. Having played to sold-out audiences across the UK, Australia and beyond, it’s a fearless blend of clowning, improvisation and spectacularly ill-advised ambition.

Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen (19 November – 10 January)

Completing the season is one of the stand-out solo shows of recent years — a razor-sharp, emotionally charged dark comedy.
Written by Marcelo Dos Santos (Backstairs Billy) and directed by Matthew Xia, it stars acclaimed stage and screen actor Steven Webb (The Book of Mormon, The History Boys, Shucked).
Since premiering at the Fringe in 2022, the show has won multiple awards and captivated audiences with its psychological insight and its compelling exploration of anxiety, intimacy and self-sabotage, following sold-out runs in London, an Australian tour and a recent US run.

Why it matters

Francesca Moody is one of the most influential producers working today, having originated two of the most globally successful shows of the last decade in Fleabag and Baby Reindeer.
“Fleabag and Baby Reindeer have proven that daring solo shows can transcend the festival environment and captivate the world,” she said. “We are in the business of building modern classics, and the opportunity to do that by sharing these shows with a wider audience is truly thrilling.”
The Other Palace season also dovetails with FMP’s three-week Shedinburgh residency at the Young Vic (19 September – 10 October), making for a busy London autumn that celebrates the company’s commitment to Fringe work past, present and future.
