The Olivier Award-nominated West End hit Paranormal Activity is set to transfer to Broadway in autumn 2026.
Based on the Paranormal Activity films, the show will run at the August Wilson Theatre in New York from 14 August 2026, booking to 3 January 2027.
Written by Levi Holloway (Grey House) and directed by Punchdrunk’s Felix Barrett (The Burnt City), the show will be produced on Broadway by the UK’s Melting Pot, with Jason Blum, founder and CEO of Blumhouse, the original producer of the Paranormal Activity film franchise.
Paranormal Activity recently enjoyed a sold-out run at the Ambassadors Theatre in London, and is returning to the West End this autumn, running from 10 August 2026.

The show will come to Broadway following a pre-Broadway run in Boston (US). The horror thriller originally premiered at Leeds Playhouse in the UK, before a US tour of Chicago, LA, Washington DC and San Francisco.
Director Felix Barrett said in a statement that, “New York is my home away from home. I fell in love with the city when making Sleep No More fifteen years ago, and always marveled at the way audiences engaged with the show. Having seen the incredible responses to Paranormal as it has toured the US, I’m beyond excited that it will be coming to Broadway and cannot wait to see how New Yorkers react!”
The wider creative team for Paranormal Activity includes scenic and costume design by Fly Davis (Caroline, Or Change), illusions design by Chris Fisher (Stranger Things: The First Shadow), lighting design by Anna Watson (Giant), sound design by Gareth Fry (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), video and projections design by Luke Halls (The Lehman Trilogy).
In the thriller, James and Lou move from Chicago to London to escape their past, but they soon discover that places aren’t haunted, people are… With an original story inspired by the film franchise, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY reimagines the modern ghost story with an intimacy that only live theatre can provide.
Casting for the Broadway production is to be announced.
