The Bridge Theatre in London has postponed its forthcoming production of Ivanov starring Chris Pine.

The show has been postponed due to a scheduling issue for the play’s lead, Hollywood star Chris Pine (Star Trek, Wonder Woman).

The revival was due to have run from 4 July to 19 September 2026 at the Bridge Theatre on the Southbank.

However, Ivanov is now scheduled for a 2027 premiere, playing from 27 July until 16 October 2027.

The production is a brand-new version of Chekhov’s drama, adapted and directed by Simon Stone (The Lady from the Sea).

Existing ticket holders for 2026 dates will be contacted by their point of purchase.

Chris Pine is a major Hollywood star best known for roles in the Star Trek franchise, and in Wonder Woman, Don’t Worry Darling and Poolman. His previous stage work includes The Atheist in New York in 2006, and The Lieutenant of Inishmore in LA in 2010.

The Bridge Theatre has not yet announced which show will take the place of Ivanov in its summer schedule.

Currently playing at the Bridge Theatre is Jordan Fein’s five-star production of Stephen Sondheim’s musical Into the Woods, until 30 May 2026.
