Full casting has been revealed for the forthcoming 50th anniversary production of David Hare’s trailblazing play Teeth ‘n’ Smiles.
Teeth ‘n’ Smiles is playing at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London for a 12 week season from 13 March to 6 June 2026.
Already announced is acclaimed singer-songwriter and actress Rebecca Lucy Taylor AKA Self Esteem (Cabaret), who stars as Maggie in the drama.

She is joined by Phil Daniels (Quadrophenia, Waiting for the Out, House of the Dragon, Cock) as Sarrafian, and Michael Fox (The Fear of 13, Endeavour, Downton Abbey) as Arthur.
The cast also includes Bill Caple as Nash, Michael Abubakar as Wilson, Samuel Jordan as Smegs, Jojo Macari as Peyote, Noah Weatherby as Inch, Joseph Evans as Randolph, Aysha Kala as Laura, Christopher Patrick Nolan as Snead, and Roman Asde as Anson.
What Teeth ‘n’ Smiles is about? Before the New York Dolls. Before Debbie Harry. Before Kurt Cobain. There was Maggie Frisby. Once the roaring voice of 60s counterculture, now broke and disillusioned, a band’s youthful dreams of anarchic rebellion collapse into bitterness. Amidst the wreckage, lead singer Maggie tears through the night fuelled by booze, fury, and a voice that refuses to die.
The company is completed by Gregor Milne, Damien James, Levi Heaton, Guy Amos and Daniel Crespin.
Written by multi-award-winning playwright and screenwriter David Hare (Skylight, Amy’s View), Teeth ‘n’ Smiles is directed by award-winner Daniel Raggett (Richard II, Accidental Death of an Anarchist). The creative team also includes music by Nick Bicât and lyrics by Tony Bicât, with new additional music and lyrics by Rebecca Lucy Taylor.
