The Olivier Award-nominated Little Bulb Theatre will bring their joyful reimagining of The Nutcracker to St Martin’s Theatre in London this Christmas, with performances running from 10 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.
A nominee for Best Family Entertainment at the 2025 Olivier Awards, The Nutcracker takes the familiar festive story and turns it on its head. Forget tutus and toy soldiers — this is a world of cheeky singing mice, cardboard magic and a sleigh-load of feel-good festive tunes.
The show follows two bickering siblings whose Christmas Eve takes a surreal turn when a mysterious nutcracker from their flamboyant Aunt Drosselmeyer whisks them into The Mousey Realm, home to an evil many-headed Mouse King. What follows is a fast, funny and musical adventure about family, imagination and saving Christmas.
Known for their inventive storytelling and original music, Little Bulb have created a version of The Nutcracker that’s bursting with humour, heart and holiday spirit — offering families a refreshing alternative to the traditional ballet.
The show is written and devised by Clare Beresford, Dominic Conway, Lakeisha Lynch-Stevens, Caroline Partridge, Alexander Scott, Edith Tankus and Shamira Turner, with direction by Alexander Scott
The production is presented in the West End by Brian Fenty, Founder and CEO of Today Tix Group, and Mystery Holdings.
