Following a hugely successful workshop run in 2025, Midnight returns to Sadler’s Wells East for another limited season in London.

Set in nineteenth-century America’s South, Midnight is a sweeping, sung-through musical in the tradition of Hamilton, Les Misérables, and Rent that explores love, conflict, and the search for understanding. Blending gospel, rhythm and blues, classical, pop, rock, opera, folk, and traditional musical theatre, the show invites audiences to see the world through another’s eyes and asks a timeless question — how do we choose to play the roles we’re given in life?

Written by and starring Todrick Hall (Burlesque The Musical), the fabulous cast also includes Rachel Tucker (Wicked) as Charlotte, Ayana George (MJ The Musical) as Ethel, Marisha Wallace (Cabaret) as Happy, and George Maguire (Sunny Afternoon) as Sylvester.
