Classy and cult US ensemble Pink Martini are hitting the UK this autumn with their “Dream a Little Dream” tour, accompanied by the von Trapps.
Featuring their laid-back style that mixes up 1930’s Cuban dance orchestras, classical chamber music ensembles, Brazilian marching street bands and Japanese film noir, the 12-piece Pink Martini have become nothing less than a music phenomenon.
Featuring Pink Martini vocalist China Forbes, the ‘little orchestra’ that hails from Portland Oregon was created in 1994 and performs its romantic, multi-lingual repertoire on concert stages and in smoky bars around the world.
Dubbed “classy, charming, sexy, elegant, sophisticated” by the Sun, and “on a mission to bring back romance and beauty” by the Daily Telegraph, catch Pink Martini in London at the Eventim Apollo on 30 October 2014, plus dates around the UK from 27 October to 4 November.
Pink Martini are supported by the Von Trapps at most of the UK tour dates. The Von Trapps are descended from original The Sound of Music singers and feature Sofi (25), Melanie (23), Amanda (22), and August von Trapp (18), who have travelled the world with their music.
