Further casting has been announced for new musical Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, with Haydn Gwynne to join Tamsin Greig in the show.
Haydn Gwynne is to join the cast of the musical adaptation of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, which runs at the Playhouse Theatre from 20 December 2014.
Taking on the role of Lucia, Haydn Gwynne will star alongside Tamsin Greig as Pepa.
Based on acclaimed Spanish director Pedro Almodovar’s Oscar-nominated movie, the show will be directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher and is penned by David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels The Musical).
Haydn Gwnne’s extensive theatre credits include Margaret Thatcher in The Audience, Mrs Wilkinson in Billy Elliot, City of Angels and Ziegfeld.
The show promises to capture the sexy spirit of Almodóvar’s original movie, set in Madrid and about Pepa (Tamsin Greig) and her friends as they juggle everyday lives with some pretty extraordinary moments!
