Aaron Sorkin’s critically acclaimed stage adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird is confirmed to return to London’s West End this summer.

The production will play a limited season at the Wyndham’s Theatre from 25 June through 12 September 2026.

Richard Coyle (Fantastic Beasts) will return to the iconic role of Atticus Finch. Coyle previously earned widespread praise for his portrayal during the play’s 2022-2023 run at the West End’s Gielgud Theatre, and has recently led the production’s successful UK and Ireland tour.

Further casting is to be announced.

The production, directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, originally opened in London in 2022 to five-star reviews, following its record-breaking debut on Broadway.

Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s 1960 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel has been noted for its contemporary resonance, shifting the perspective of the courtroom drama to focus more acutely on the moral evolution of Atticus Finch.

The story, set in 1930s Alabama, remains one of the most enduring explorations of racial injustice and the loss of childhood innocence in American literature.

The creative team includes scenic design by Miriam Buether, costumes by Ann Roth, lighting by Jennifer Tipton, sound by Scott Lehrer and an original score by Adam Guettel.
