Based on W. Somerset Maugham’s classic play, adapted by Laura Wade, The Constant Wife is now playing at the RSC’s Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon until 2 August 2025.
The Constant Wife stars Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones, The Good Fight, Miss Austen, Vigil) as Constance Middleton, and Kate Burton (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Inventing Anna) as Mrs Culver, Constance’s mother.

The cast also features Raj Bajaj (The Buddha of Suburbia, Tupperware of Ashes) as Bernard Kersal; Emma McDonald (The Serpent Queen) as Marie-Louise Durham; Mark Meadows (Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Flowers for Mrs Harris) as Bentley; Daniel Millar (The Play That Goes Wrong) as Mortimer Durham; Amy Morgan (Dear Octopus) as Martha; and Luke Norris (The Motive and the Cue) as John Middleton.

The production is directed by RSC Co-Artistic Director Tamara Harvey, and boasts an original score by multi-award-winning jazz artist Jamie Cullum.
