The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced a host of new young performers for its award-winning West End show Matilda The Musical at the Cambridge Theatre in London.

Matilda is currently booking until May 2026 at the Cambridge Theatre.

Now in its 14th year in London, the show recently became the 15th longest-running production in West End history (West End’s longest-running shows); and has been enjoyed by over 12 million people across 100 cities worldwide.

Announced today, Suki Hillier, Mia Rogers and Alexis Whitehead are set to join Angelica Scott in the title role of Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre, from 18 March 2025.

The other young performers announced today and joining the London company in the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Nigel and the rest of the pupils at Crunchem Hall are: Janai Bartlett, Alexander Beaumont, Kobe Champion-Norville, William Gurney, Arietta Hall, Annabelle Haverson, Chase King, Reuben Laming, Lexi Lancaster, Elsie Laslett, Maxwell McGetrick, Theo Oh, Myla Park, Josh Pegler, Drew Reilly, Harry Relf, Isabella Rummery, Ashley Taylor, Khit Thakhin and Aisha Ugurhan.

These new performers join the existing young cast of Joseph Burrows, Pasquale Folivi AD, Joey Grady, Adam Hussain and Isabelle McLatchie.

The current adult cast includes Tiffany Graves as Mrs Wormwood, Kieran Hill as Miss Trunchbull, Neil McDermott as Mr Wormwood, and Eve Norris as Miss Honey.

The ensemble includes Esme Bacalla-Hayes, Pearce Barron, Alex Louize Bird, Reece Budin, Ronan Burns, Dan Cooke, William Elijah-Lewis, Karina Hind, Issy Khogali, Sam Lips, Sam Jeffrey Parkes, Jak Skelly, Gabrielle Davina Smith, Deborah Tracey, Ralph Watts and Dawn Williams.

Matilda The Musical is written by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and developed and directed by Matthew Warchus.

The creative team also includes design by Rob Howell, choreography by Peter Darling, orchestrations, additional music and musical supervision by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker and special effects and illusions by Paul Kieve.

Matilda The Musical is playing at the Cambridge Theatre, booking until May 2026.

A new UK & Ireland tour of Matilda starts in Leicester in October 2025.

The RSC also has new drama Kyoto playing in the West End at the moment, at @Sohoplace theatre; and its blockbuster production of My Neighbour Totoro is coming to the West End next month, playing the Gillian Lynne Theatre.
