The Royal Shakespeare Company presents a thrilling new production of Christopher Marlowe’s extraordinary drama Edward II, still provoking audiences over 400 years since it was written.
Acclaimed director Daniel Raggett (Accidental Death of an Anarchistt) presents Marlowe’s violent and tender play, featuring a superb cast including double Olivier Award-winner and RSC Co-Artistic Director Daniel Evans as Edward II, and Eloka Ivo (Black Superhero, Four Mothers, Avenue 5), as Edward’s lover, Gaveston.
Edward II is playing at the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon from 21 February to 5 April. There’s no current news about a West End or London transfer for Edward II, but check back for details or sign-up for alerts.
