The latest videos and photos of The Years, the Almeida’s acclaimed production now playing at the West End’s Harold Pinter Theatre in London.
Based on Nobel Prize winner Annie Ernaux’s novel Les Années, and adapted and directed by Eline Arbo, The Years is now playing at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London until 19 April 2025.
New in are first-look production photos of The Years, featuring new cast member Tuppence Middleton (The Motive and the Cue), alongside Deborah Findlay (The Split, Orlando), Gina McKee (Dear England, Notting Hill), Anjli Mohindra (Noises Off) and Harmony Rose-Bremner (Hamnet).

The understudies are Shira Abkin, Holly Georgia, Pamela Hardman, Adrien Spencer, and Sarah Waddell.
In The Years, five different actors bring one woman’s personal and political story to life, set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing post-war Europe.

At the Almeida Theatre, the production enjoyed a tremendous response from London’s theatre critics, with five stars from the Independent, Financial Times, The i Paper, The Stage and the Guardian.
Joining Eline Arbo in the creative team are Music Supervisor and Sound Designer Thijs van Vuure, Set Designer Juul Dekker, Lighting Designer Varja Klosse, Costume Designer Rebekka Wörmann, and Casting Director Amy Ball CDG. The play has an English version by Stephanie Bain.

The original production and adaptation of The Years was first produced as De jaren by Het Nationale Theater in The Hague, Netherlands in 2022; and the play’s UK premiere at the Almeida Theatre ran from 27 July 2024 until 31 August 2024.
