Producers of new musical Stiletto have announced casting ahead of the show’s run at the Charing Cross Theatre in London.
Stiletto is premiering at the West End’s Charing Cross Theatre from 24 March to 15 June 2025.
The cast of Stiletto will feature Greg Barnett (The Duchess of Malfi, RSC; Fleabag) as Faustino, Sam Barrett (Mission Impossible 7: Dead Reckoning Part 1) as Luigi, Jack Chambers as Marco, Kelly Hampson (Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, West End) as Azzurra, Douglas Hansell (Come From Away) as Pietro, Jewelle Hutchinson (Coram Boy, Chichester Festival Theatre) as Gioia, and Connor Wood (A Christmas Carol, The Old Vic) as Niccolo.
The ensemble includes Alex Anstey, Aiden Carson, Richard Dawes, Grace Galloway, Jennie Jacobs, Owen Johnston, Cassandra McCowan, Hannah Murdoch, Samuel John Taylor, Sienna Widd.
The new musical is set in Venice in the 18th century, and centres on a famous castrato who falls in love with the daughter of an African slave.
Stiletto boasts an acclaimed creative, including songs by three-time Grammy nominee Matthew Wilder (Disney’s Mulan, Princesses), a book by two-time Olivier Award nominee Tim Luscombe (Easy Virtue), direction by award-winner David Gilmore (Grease, Defending the Caveman), and choreography by Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia!, Kiss Me, Kate).
The creative team also includes Jae Alexander as musical director, orchestrations by Simon Nathan, set design by Ceci Calf, costume design by Anna Kelsey, lighting design by Ben Ormerod, sound design by Andrew Johnson, casting by Neil Rutherford, and the executive producer is Guy Kitchenn.
The show is produced by Patrick Bywalski for the Robert Stigwood Organisation and Steven M. Levy for Charing Cross Theatre Productions Limited.
