Further casting has been announced for the 2025 UK tour of The Girl on the Train.
EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton will star as Rachel Watson – famously portrayed by Emily Blunt in the film – during the second leg of the UK tour.
Louisa is best-known for playing the role of Ruby Allen for over two decades in BBC’s EastEnders. Her TV work includes; Murdoch Mysteries for Amazon Prime and Edge of Heaven for ITV. On stage she recently starred as Jenny in 2:22 A Ghost Story for a UK tour.
Louisa will star as Rachel from 15 April 2025 until 31 May 2025, with her first performance at Chester’s Storyhouse Theatre followed by dates in Woking, Birmingham, Southend, Liverpool, Leicester, Cardiff.
The tour begins at Richmond Theatre on 13 January 2025, with previously announced Giovanna Fletcher starring as Rachel from 14 January to 29 March. After her run, Louisa Lytton steps into the role, followed by previously announced BAFTA-winning broadcaster Laura Whitmore, who takes over from 3 June 2025 through the tour’s conclusion on 30 August 2025.
