JERSEY BOYS: Michael Watson joins cast; show extends at Piccaddily Theatre

Hit West End and Broadway musical Jersey Boys is extending its run at the Piccadilly Theatre in London.

The show is now booking until 15 February 2015.

Jersey Boys also sees a new star join the cast tonight, 29 April 2014, as Michael Watson takes on the lead role of Frankie Valli in the show.

British actor Michael Watson has previously appeared in West End shows including We Will Rock You, Imagine This, Sister Act and Shrek the Musical.

Michael joins a cast that includes Edd Post as Bob Gaudio, Jon Boydon as Tommy DeVito and Matt Nalton as Nick Massi. Sandy Moffat plays the role of Frankie Valli at certain performances.

Jersey Boys opened in the West End in 2008 and moved from the Prince Edward Theatre to its current home at the Piccadilly Theatre on 15 March 2014.

Now in its 7th year in London the show has been seen by over 19 million people worldwide.

A major new movie version of Jersey Boys is set for release in June this year, directed by Clint Eastwood.
