UPDATE 13 September 2024: More casting has been announced for Ghost in Concert at the Adelphi Theatre, including: Original Broadway cast member Moya Angela (America’s Got Talent, The Lion King and Dreamgirls) as Oda Mae Brown, David Seadon-Young (Ghost the Musical – National/Australian Tour) as Carl Bruner, Sam Mackay (In the Heights, Mamma Mia!) as Willie Lopez and original West End cast members Lisa Davina Phillip (The Lion King, Matilda the Musical) and Jenny Fitzpatrick (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Rock of Ages UK Tour), who will reprise their roles as Clara and Louise. Completing the cast will be Gabriela García as Mrs Santiago/Featured Ensemble, Kimmy Edwards as Ortisha/Ensemble, C.J. Borger as Orlando/Ensemble, and Ensemble members Michael Cortez and Stevie Hutchinson.

15 July 2024:

Hit musical Ghost is coming back to the West End for one night only on 1 October 2024.

Playing the West End’s Adelphi Theatre, Ghost in Concert will star Lucie Jones (The Baker’s Wife, Les Miserables) as Molly and Oliver Tompsett (& Juliet) as Sam.

The concert will be directed by original Associate Director Paul Warwick Griffin, with musical supervision by Laurie Perkins, and play the Adelphi Theatre on 1 October 2024.

Ghost The Musical features songs by multi-award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics, The Time Traveller’s Wife) and Grammy award winning Glen Ballard (Back to the Future The Musical), plus The Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody.

The show’s book is by Bruce Joel Rubin based on his Oscar winning screenplay for the movie, which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.

The musical first premiered in Manchester in 2011, and went on to play the West End and Broadway.

The creative team for Ghost in Concert includes: Video design by Jon Driscoll, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound by Jav Pando, choreography by Ashley Wallen, costume supervision by Sharon Williams and casting by David Grindrod Casting.

Producer Colin Ingram said in a statement: “I am delighted to be bringing Ghost The Musical back in a new format for this one-off performance so audiences can enjoy the incredible music that Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard wrote over 10 years ago which has now been produced in over 20 countries from Brazil to Hungary to Russia. I’m so happy to have Oliver Tompsett play Sam Wheat after he helped develop the role in workshops and for Lucie Jones to return as Molly after playing the role in China and SE Asia.”

Ghost In Concert is playing the Adelphi Theatre in London on 1 October 2024.

Currently playing at the Adelphi Theatre is Back to the Future The Musical, which announced today that it is extending and will have a new cast.

Lucie Jones is currently starring in Stephen Schwarz musical The Baker’s Wife at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London.

A new Ghost The Musical tour also starts this summer, on 22 August 2024 in Aylesbury before embarking on a tour of venues across the UK including Sunderland, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Darlington, Cheltenham, Leicester, Torquay, Coventry, Bradford, Aberdeen, Stoke, Bath and Blackpool.
