Hit London show Mamma Mia! The Party has announced new casting with Blue’s Antony Costa remaining with the show to 15 November 2024.

Celebrating five years at The O2 in London, Björn Ulvaeus’ Mamma Mia! The Party is London’s premier theatrical dining experience, bringing ABBA’s hits to life with an original story set on a greek island.

Antony Costa will be joined by a new cast including Lucinda Lawrence as Kate, Inês Fernandez as Konstantina, Henryk Firth as Adam, Georgia Morgan as Nina, Kelly Aaron as Sue/Swing and Ollie Llewelyn-Williams as Ruben/Swing.

Costa said: “I have loved every minute of playing Nikos in Mamma Mia! The Party over the last year, and I am thrilled to spend a little longer in this wonderful world created by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Sandi Toksvig. I can’t wait to be joined by this stellar new cast to continue spreading the joy of ABBA’s music.”

From 24 July, they join existing cast members Rosemary Annabella Nkrumah as Debbie, Oscar Balmaseda as Fernando, Dawn Spence as Grandma, Allie Ho Chee (at certain performances) and Rosie Rowlands (at certain performances) as Bella, Emmanuel Alba as Carlos/Swing, Claudia Bradley as Loretta/Swing, Deschenes Graham as Joyce/Swing and Robban Hogstrom as Robin/Swing, along with the musicians John Donovan, Luke Higgins, Luke Roberts, Steve Rushton and Kathryn Tindall.

Mamma Mia! The Party has music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, with some songs with Stig Anderson, and a story by Calle Norlén, Roine Söderlundh and Björn Ulvaeus, with the English book by writer, comedian and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig.

The evening brings ABBA’s hits to life more vividly than ever before, and over the course of four glittering hours, guests can immerse themselves in a spectacular musical extravaganza, a set four-course Greek feast and an ABBA disco, all in one unforgettable evening of dancing, dining and singing.

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s Eurovision victory with “Waterloo,” and it seems they’ve taken London by storm. They now have three smash-hit shows running in the city:

  • Mamma Mia!: The original West End theatrical musical, currently celebrating 25 years in London.
  • Mamma Mia! The Party An immersive theatrical dining experience at the O2.
  • ABBA Voyage: The newest and most high-tech concert experience at the ABBA Arena.
