Mamma Mia! The Party is London’s ultimate immersive dining experience, combining live theatre, music and a Greek feast in one spectacular evening. Set inside Nikos’ taverna on the island of Skopelos, the story unfolds around you as performers sing and interact with guests, creating a fully immersive experience rather than a traditional stage show.

What’s the story?

Mamma Mia! The Party takes place at Nikos Taverna on the beautiful island of Skopelos, where the first Mamma Mia! movie was shot. As the sun sets on the island, a secret romance is blossoming amongst the hustle and bustle of Nikos’ family-run taverna and you won’t have to leave your seat to watch the drama unfold.

Told through dialogue and timeless ABBA songs, a warm, romantic and funny story evolves and unfolds during the evening, taking place around the guests as they sit at their tables enjoying a gourmet Greek meal.

Who are the creative team of Mamma Mia! The Party?

Mamma Mia! The Party has music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, plus some songs with Stig Anderson, and a story by Calle Norlén, Roine Söderlundh and Björn Ulvaeus, with the English book by writer, comedian and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig.

The show is co-directed and choreographed by Stacey Haynes and Roine Söderlundh, with set designed by Bengt Fröderberg, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound design by Gareth Owen, costumes design by Annsofi Nyberg, music supervision by Robin Svensson, casting by David Grindrod for Grindrod Burton Casting

Food allergies & dietary requirements: The kitchens are extremely busy and contain allergens as standard. Where possible, the venue will cater to individual dietary requirements but must be informed at least 48hrs prior to attendance. Please check your confirmation email for full details.

The four-course meal

Food is at the heart of the experience and a menu has been created that collects the finest Greece has to offer, made from the best, freshest ingredients.

Guests are served with a traditional mezze of breads, dips and olives followed by the iconic Greek salad of fresh cherry tomatoes, cucumber and feta.

For the main course, confit lamb shoulder and slow-cooked beef are served with roasted garlic potatoes, courgettes peperonata, romesco and aromatic jus. For vegetarian and vegan guests, there is roasted cauliflower with a lemon-herb dressing and stuffed tomato with lentil ragout.

A sumptuous Greek lemon cake served with confit orange skin and citrus yoghurt is the perfect end to this delicious meal. Vegan guests are served traditional loukoumades, delicious dough balls accompanied by a sweet fig jam.

With Greek cuisine, like all Mediterranean food, if you give it love you’ll get love in return. 

The dancing!

The evening ends with a 1970s disco, where audience members are welcome to stay to sing and dance to ABBA songs.

It’s always sunny in Skopelos! Whatever the weather, it’s always a beautiful and warm summer evening in our special Greek taverna. When you arrive, there is a handy cloakroom to leave your coat.
Yes! You can use your mobile phone to capture the special moments throughout. Unfortunately, we cannot allow flash photography or filming.
The seating policy at Mamma Mia! The Party follows a relaxed restaurant-style approach. You’ll book in advance for your group, give your name to the host on arrival at Nikos’ Taverna, and be shown to your table. Nikos’ is a lively, sociable setting, so depending on your party size, you may be seated with other guests. While we can’t guarantee that all groups will be placed at the same table, we’ll do our best to seat you at adjacent tables wherever possible. Tables are allocated in the order bookings are received. Couples and smaller groups may be seated at shared tables of up to 8 guests, while larger parties will be spread across adjacent tables. The largest tables seat 10. Please note: it’s not possible to reserve specific tables, and we’re unable to guarantee availability of a particular table size. Towards the end of the evening, some tables will be cleared to make way for a spectacular dancefloor — and Nikos will personally invite lucky guests to join him for the fabulous ABBA finale.
Tier A – Lower Terraces & Courtyard

Guests seated in Tier A will savour the magic of Skopelos from the lower terraces and central courtyard, close to the heart of the action. This area offers an immersive view of the performance and atmosphere.

Tier B – Upper Terrace & Balconies

Tier B guests enjoy the experience from elevated seating on the upper terrace and balconies, offering a beautiful view of the taverna and the unfolding story below.
