Directed by Robert O’Hara (The Continuum), the West End production of Slave Play stars Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, True West) as Jim, Olivia Washington (I’m a Virgo, Breaking) as Kaneisha, Fisayo Akinade (The Crucible, Heartstopper) as Gary, and Aaron Heffernan (Brassic, Atlanta) as Phillip.
The cast also includes actors from the original Broadway production, including James Cusati-Moyer (Six Degrees of Separation, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) as Dustin, Chalia La Tour (The Good Fight, Elementary) as Teá, Annie McNamara (Orange is the New Black) as Alana, and Irene Sofia Lucio (The Americans, Wit) as Patricia. The understudies are Troy Alexander, Dimitri Gripari, Maite Jauregui, Prince Kundai, and Malikah Mcherrin-Cobb.
Slave Play is the second most Tony Award nominated play in Broadway history, and follows three interracial couples in an explosive and provocative drama that rips history apart and sheds new light on race, gender and sexuality in the 21st century.
Written by Jeremy O. Harris (The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window, Euphoria), the creative team for the play alongside director Robert O’Hara includes set design by Clint Ramos, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by Jiyoun Chang, composition and sound design by Lindsay Jones, casting by Amy Ball, voice and dialect coach Aundrea Fudge, intimacy and fight director Claire Warden, original US casting Taylor Williams, and drama therapist Wabriya King. Choreography is by Byron Easley (US) and Jade Hackett (UK).
Slave Play is running from 29 June to 21 September 2024 at the Noel Coward Theatre.

The documentary is a self-portrait of and by playwright Jeremy O. Harris, at work as he deconstructs his extraordinary drama Slave Play in the lead up to staging the play in New York. The documentary promises to be as bold and daring as Harris himself, offering an unflinching exploration of his creative process and the motivation behind his groundbreaking work.
The doc premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on 10 June.
