Fisayo Akinade recently played Reverend Hale in The Crucible at the National Theatre this Summer.
Fisayo Akinade is a British actor, best known for his roles as Dean in Cucumber and Banana on Channel 4 and Mr Ajayi in Heartstopper. Fisayo trained at Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
On stage Fisayo Akinade has appeared in Romeo & Juliet, The Antipodes, Antony and Cleopatra and Barber Shop Chronicles, all at the National Theatre in London. He also appeared in Alistair McDowall’s play The Glow at the Royal Court.
Film roles include: The Girl with All the Gifts, The Isle and The Personal History of David Copperfield.
In addiction to Cucumber and Heartstopper he has appeared on tv in Ordinary Live, The Vote, A Very English Scandal, Silent Witness, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo & Juliet, Martin’s Close, The Complaints Department and Atlanta. He will soon portray Chevalier de Saint-Jacques in a new tv adaptation of Dangerous Liaisons
