Callum Scott Howells is a Welsh actor and singer best known for playing Colin in It’s a Sin and the Emcee in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. He is set to play Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart opposite Michael Sheen’s Salieri in a major new production of Amadeus.

Callum Scott Howells plays Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart opposite Michael Sheen as Antonio Salieri in Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus, directed by Jeremy Herrin, in a co-production between Second Half Productions and Welsh National Theatre. The production plays a strictly limited 16-week season at the Noël Coward Theatre, running from 17 April to 7 August 2027. This new production marks the first time two Welsh actors have taken on the play’s rival composers in the same production.

About Callum Scott Howells

Callum Scott Howells is a Welsh actor and singer, born in Tonyrefail, Rhondda Cynon Taf, on 29 April 1999. He trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, landing his breakout role as Colin Morris-Jones in Russell T Davies’s It’s a Sin during his final year of study, shortly before graduating in 2020. Since his television breakthrough, Howells has built a fast-rising and versatile career across major West End stages and screen productions, deliberately seeking out roles that challenge audience perceptions of him.
